A Day in the Life of A Wildlife Rehabilitator

Thursday, February 16:00—7:30 PMMeeting RoomKimball Library5 Academy Ave, Atkinson, NH, 03811

Have you ever wondered what happens to a wild animal when they’re injured or when a mother animal is killed and her babies are still alive?  Join us for a presentation with the Millstone Wildlife Center and hear will about their mission and insights into the field of rehabilitation services for injured and orphaned mammal wildlife. Learn about their approach in the rehabilitation of the more than 1,200 animals that are brought to their facility for care each year!  The center will bring three ambassador animals with them.  While this presentation is geared toward adults and children older than 12 years of age, everyone is welcome.  Registration is limited and the center requests that attendees stay calm & quiet during the presentation so not to cause extra stress to the ambassador animals.

This event is sponsored by the Atkinson Conservation Commission as part of their 50th celebration.  Atkinson Conservation wishes to thank the Kimball Library for partnering with us and hosting this event.

Millstone Wildlife Center is a home-based wildlife rehabilitation facility for injured and orphaned mammals located in Windham, NH.  The center is run by Executive Director, Frannie Greenberg.  Frannie is licensed by both NH Fish and Game as a rehabilitator and the USDA as a permitted facility to house program animals.
